This is VocarIT

VocarIT was founded by Martijn Ravenhorst and Wouter Lether, who met in 2001 while studying electrical engineering at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences. After their studies, they both worked for years at Dimension Data, which was later acquired by NTT. During that period, they gained extensive technical knowledge, worked on diverse projects, and got to know various client environments inside out. That experience still forms the basis of their working method: being well-prepared, saying what you do, and doing what you say.

In March 2022, Martijn decided to start his own business and worked on a project basis for various clients. He enjoyed it, but it left him wanting more, according to Martijn. “I wanted to do more than just advise my clients; I also wanted to be able to offer services, such as service contracts. However, doing that alone is difficult—you are a risk to clients. Moreover, you are simply stronger together.”

Martijn approached Wouter asking if he wanted to start a company together, and in January 2024, VocarIT became a reality. Asking him was a no-brainer for me. Wouter and I know each other inside out and know what we can expect from one another professionally. Where I keep an eye on the big picture, Wouter excels in the details and mitigating risks. We truly complement each other. You can see that collaboration reflected in our approach to our clients as well: we are open, honest, and focused on sustainable solutions. It is not about quick profits, but about a result the client can truly rely on.

Their mentality extends beyond just work. Whether in sports or as a hobby—Martijn plays futsal and mountain biking, Wouter plays golf and kitesurfing—both always strive for the best result. Martijn: “Half-hearted work is not an option, and that is exactly what clients can expect from VocarIT.”
